Cryptic Health was founded by Dr. Maha Almohamad, a nutrition research scientist and epidemiologist.

Her work has centered on Food Is Medicine and chronic disease prevention. The research that keeps arriving at the same conclusion, that what people eat every day matters, and keeps failing to reach the aisle where they actually shop. The science was there. The products weren’t.

So she built one. The Oat Cacao bar carries 500mg each of cordyceps, shiitake, and ashwagandha in a 50g bar, with every amount printed on the pack. That last part is the whole point. The category runs on proprietary blends and unstated quantities, which is a convenient way to include a pinch of something impressive and let the label do the rest. We print all three numbers so you don’t have to take our word for anything.
